Property experts give their tips for selling in the summer

WHILE spring is commonly accepted as the best time of year to sell property, vendors aiming to capitalise on the success of the past 12 months might opt to list this summer.

Those wanting to take their home to auction next month to list the property as soon as possible to gain as much exposure as possible.

A lot of Australians are still on holiday until Australia Day, so auctions scheduled after will receive more attention.

In the peak summer months it can heat up very quickly and you don’t want buyers to be uncomfortably hot when inspecting your property.

Make sure the house is opened up early to let in fresh air or, if you have an airconditioner, make sure it is on to experience the house at its best.
